75 Gallon American Cichlid tank stocking help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Also, sorry for all the questions, but would a few Bolivian rams be better than the Red Tapajos? Or will the other fish in the tank be too much bigger than them?

Great, thank you so much for all your help. What order should I add the fish to the tank?
Cichlids all together if possible, and getting them while small to grow up together will help

The rams would probably work fine, though some people seem to have worse experiences with severum aggression than I have. You could try it though in my opinion. Cupido would be a nice middle-ground.

Okay I was just wondering if adding them all at once would cause an ammonia spike or something. I'll check cupids out.

If you are doing a fishless cycle and dosing up to 3ppm of ammonia, which gets turned into nitrates less than 1 day, you shouldn't get an ammonia spike adding all of the small fish at once in a 75.

As for stocking, I would do 1 severum and multiple bolivian rams with a school of dither fish.
