Update diatoms are still being a pain in the ass tried everything including phosguard nothing seems to be working but heres an update

I do have a bristlenose along with 3 nerites but none of them will eat the diatoms
She use to but stopped. And I've tried manually removing it but it's hard to get all the little leaves on the pygmy chain sword and its caked on there lol
I dont mind a little algae or diatoms on the back wall or driftwood for natural look but it's on the plants and this tank is going on 9-10 months so wondering if they will even disappear. I dont even have high phosphates out of tap.
Yes but since my nerites and bristlenose arent touching the diatoms I'm thinking the ottos wont either
I thought about getting 10-12 but I hear they die off easy and was afraid of how many would make it. Hard to find dead fish in the planted tank wouldnt want the bodies to rot in there
1-2 dead ottos probably woulnt be noticed in a tank that size as far as handling the waste, especially that heavily planted
