Hi All--I've had a 55 gallon planted discus tank in my third floor condo for the past 1.5 years with no problems. I recently (two days ago) switched over to a 75 gallon Marineland Planted Discus Tank--I should have thought about this earlier, but I didn't consider if a 75 gallon tank (48'' x 18 x 21'', approx 750lbs) would be too much weight for my floor to handle?

I'm going to contact the construction company first thing monday. But have any of you had a 75 gallon or bigger on a 2nd story with problems/no problems?

Thanks so much!

Should be ok. That's about 125lbs of weight per square foot. Or the equivalent of 6 adult males sitting on your living room couch simultaneously. If your floor can't handle that you've got bigger problems.
