i was wondering do you clean the tank if you have a carpet of plants on the bottom. for does it recycle itself ??? i mean how do you get the fish poop out lol i would like to start a planted tank and have been reading what i can about it but i don't think i have come across that question and i a figureing that there must be a reason ????

You do not mess with fish poop with a planted tank. Fish poop is fertilizer for the plants! Here is a updated picture.

So has the algae! Anyone have ideas of how to control green algae, besides doing more water changes, cutting light, cutting back on feedings, and adding chemicals?

some plecos eat algae and i heard so do certain types of cichlids

OTOS! and SAE! sense the addition of them both two my 29L planted tank i have found they do really good on hair.... But wont go after black stuff on plant leaves...
