the owner lady of my LFS breeds oddballs including ropefish. she sinking pellet trains them since babies. i'd get some but i can't with my stocking
You can do the Ropefish with the Smaller Upper Jaw species such as Captive bred Senegalus, Delhezi are a couple. Only issue with some Polypterus don't respond to food as fast as a Cichlid for example.
Ropefish breeding is EXCEEDINGLY rare. Please get more info on this. I got my ropes on pellets pretty easily.
BGK and many spiny eels get far too large for a 75.
I kept bichirs with African knives without issue.
I was going to say the same thing. In fact I've not heard of ropefish getting past fry stage from a person trying to breed them yet. Would really appreciate more info and maybe a contact? You could pm me so it's not out everywhere

. There are some dwarf spiny eels not easy to find an I believe they stay under 12".

yea i'll talk to her about the breeding. i know she told me that she can get them to spawn with warmer water and use bushy plants like hygrophila difformis and windelov java fern. all the info i got. i'll ask her about it when i get back there.
What about some other fish besides some African oddballs? Just want to have a couple options to work with, what have you guys kept in 75 gallons that you don’t see everyday
I have a kamfa flowerhorn. Individual kamfas do look unique as well. I choose one with a lots of pearls and didn't concern much about other traits.
