75 gallon Sump

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The 11/2 inch bulk head are what lead to your overflow. The pipes going from the overflow will be 1" which is more then sufficient. The connection between tank and box is made by the bulk heads. No silicone needed. Imo the overflows are the best way to go. Those are really nice btw!

If it were me I'd also run it (by looking at the design of the overflow) as two full syphon a durso and an emergency drain. It would allow the most flow and the quietest possible. The ones with valves would be the syphons but I'd change out the ball valves for gate valves to allow more control over the syphon to fine tune it.

This might be a lot to ask, but could you possibly draw me a picture of what you mean? I'm going to go with the h2overflows and the stealthbox. Need to figure how to plumb the inside of the stealthbox is all now.

Hope that helps!
Ohhhhhhh okay! Thankyou. So the main drain and the durso would have a gate valve on both, and I'd have just one other emergency drain correct? And would the main drain and the durso both be mains technically? To achieve the 2400gph? Or would I need 2 main drains and the durso along with the emergency?

2 syphon/main, 1 durso 1 emergency.
Ohhhh okay. So when I run the pvc down to the 75 gallon sump, do I run the 2 mains, and the durso to the tank and then the emergency to like a basement drain or something? Or how would you have them run to the sump? I know I'll have 2 filter socks that the mains will go to.

Run it to the sump also but cut it short so I makes splashing noise if water is flowing through it. That will alert you to a clog issue. Water should only flow in the emergency if there is an issue.
