75 gallon wet pet...midas/red devil or texas cichlid?

If you have a chance, I would see both of the fish in person. That will probably make up your mind for you.
If this is not possible, I would recommend the Texas. I think that they are very nice looking for, and probably better suited to a 75 long term.

go for red devil i have a one and he is one of the coolest fish ever......although he is so aggressive i have to keep them in a tank on his own but still he is an excellent fish.....but a confirmed glass banger
My midas is very personnel and loves it when you are there.
