im going into my sophomore year in fall

than i would sell it, it'll be stunted by the time you get out of college.
a 7"er will grow to 14" in a year, and when that 14"er should be 22" by the end of college, it'll still be 14".,
just speaking in general terms of how fast they grow, i have 8 of them.;)

what speices of pbass?

I agree with xr....there is just no room for him....you should just sell him if your going to be a sophmore in the fall....sorry buddy

yeah i have 2 pbass in a 75. i got them last november and they have only grow about 2-3". this might just be cause i got away from the hobby for a while and didnt feed them as much as i should. so i guess if you dont feed them a ton theyll grow slower

which is not the right thing to do. If you cannot house the pbass, and feed them regularly, then dont get them.

i wasnt planning on keeping it i was just wondering how long until i should sell him......i would like to keep him a little longer........but i know i cant keep it in the 75....thats why i bought a 240 but that didnt work out

The size of the tank has nothing to do with the growth rate. It's the nutrition regimen and the water quality that will determine how fast and how big your PB will be. It's just a lot easier maintaining the quality of water in a bigger tank than a small one while keeping a robust feeding program.

I raised 22 tems to about 12 inch each from 2 inch each in 10 months.

Started them out in a 40 gallon tank with about 25 gallons of water. Moved all of them to a 55 when they reached 3 inch each. Traded four of them for a 120 g tank when they reached about 6 inches. Moved the remaining 18 to the 120g filled with about 100 gallons. Thinned them out as they grew. Still have 6, each one about 12 inch in the 120g.

I also routinely keep wild caught breeding pairs, with up to 20 inch fish in tanks or holding containers from 20g to 55g depending on what's available sometimes for up to a year. If you maintain the water quality you have a lot of time in your 75g tank to enjoy your fish.

I'll probably get slammed for posting this bit of truth. However, good things can happen if you watch the quality of your tank water and keep it safe for the fishy.

that makes sense but there comes a point when its just too cramped.......im running an xp3 so my water quality is pretty good

IMO you got til the 15-16" mark or so but as juan has said you can do great things with water quality.
