NO! That is a vital piece of filtration. The wife says I did it to just set up another tank. Which is how it turned out but it works as a nice grow out area. So yes and no lol.
Lol, i think i should do that to my sump, im still dealing with ammonia in the new 260g.
That was more like I'm gonna use this as a denitrator with the pothos. Then we had the baby filamented barbs growing out in there. Then the little golddust now the Congo tetras. Oh and the pair of mcmasteri apistogrammas. Maybe some day a puffer or 2

Forgot the 3 valentini synodontis babies and the two grow out bristlenose. 1 of the bristle nose will be for the angel tank in a couple months, the other is going in the clinics SA tank. Im redoing the filtration atm also so eventually I'll have an actual sump not a tote as the main filtration. I like diy but the sump was an awesome find. It will allow me to add a 75g where the tote is now probably puffers.
I'd like to get schoudenti. But if I can find the best way to "care" for Saps those would fit the pocket better.What kind of puffers??
