Yeah like a switch was flipped. Both of them. And like Ziti , Lucy was a butt to a butt and my polli for a while when they were in the smaller grow out also. Pretty sure that why that butt didn't survive. She tried it to the albino when she was introduced to the 180 too but the albino put her in her place pretty quick and it stopped. Dont know what changed. But didnt realize till late last night I'm missing a butterfly and a synodontis too. So I'm guessing this was the week they lost their minds. Both were there Saturday when I fed didnt really pay attention on Monday was kinda busy and just fed pellets. Wow thats weird it just dawned on me. I had fed them Saturday with tilapia and krill a big meal too! Wonder why they went after the rope on Sunday. So weird! No worries, Ziti was yours to do with as you wish and I completely understand your decision. I have a low tolerance to aggression. Clamping on fish is hard enough let alone killing a rope. Poor thing.
Not sure if you remember, but Ziti was an ass to my Polli, but that was short lived. For awhile I thought I might have to switch things up but he calmed down, and I assumed it was a fluke. Maybe not.
Sorry you were having to go through this. It's not fun to deal with aggression. Hopefully everyone else settles down now that they're gone.
