When I got my big tank I found it was easier to go to the freighht company and pick it up. They loaded it via fork lift onto my trailer and I drove it home. Backed it right in and then had several friends hump it into place. Only cost me a case of beer which is much better than $300-$400 for a forklift!! :D

Although that sounds like a good idea. I have decided to just pay for the extra service for them to unload everything and place it in my garage. I am going to be charged 160.00 for them to unload and place the tank in a safe place.

Knowing my luck if I had done it myself, my 750g dreams would have come to a sudden crashing hault. At least this way, if something happens I can get another tank.

Will be posting the good pics sometime tomorrow.:nilly:

The worse thing about this whole thing is I laid my eye on it and wasn't able to touch it. Felt like I was at a strip club....

YIKES! For the price you were going to pay for a forklift you could have probably touched at a strip club! :nilly: :drool:

Well, I'll (we'll) be sitting here..... :popcorn: ...... waiting to see what it'll look like! Any progress on the stand? Let see what you've got planned for the filtration system!

Can't wait to see pics of all of it man.

I was thinking the other day if it was my tank the thread wouldn't even say "750g is coming" it would just say "Whoohoohh!!! :headbang2"

:iagree: :nilly::nilly::nilly:

whaT HOUSE SAID........;)

I made some progress on the stand. I move it into the area I will be setting it up and started to assemble the pieces. I will finish up tomorrow when I can see the tank and figure out where the overflows are going to be.
The filtration will be a 150g wet dry with 70g of media. When it is cycled I will add a uv and a small sand filter.

Those are 4x4's and 2x6's right? Is the side with plywood on it the top or bottom? Looks good.. you gonna skin it like a cabinet or leave it open?

your stand looks good! great job

IT'S HERE!!! IT'S HERE!!!
Well after having to wait an extra week and a second attempt at delivery, the shipping company finally brought up a fork lift to unload the tank.:screwy:

here are some pics my wife sent me on her phone, since I could not take off from work a 3rd time...
