thats thing is awesome, your lucky! what are the exact dimensions on that thing? looks awesome

I've been waiting to see pics of it up and running

That is my dream.. but not in the garage in my basement

What are you gonna put in it?

Thanks everyone. The only dumb thing that I wish I did was level the stand. I knew the garage floor was not level, but I thought it wasn't going to be that much. You can see in the pic the water level on the left side is all the way to the top and on the right side it is about 1.5 inches down from the top. This makes the left overflow work much more and is pretty noisy. I am going to run if for a week and decide if I should level it or not. Leveling it is going to be a pita if I decide too!

You should've used styrofoam on the bottom of the tank to even it out. I use it under my tank.

I heard this uneven water level may damage the seam, putting much more weight and pressure on the lower side.

Could you not drain the tank, jack the tank up, then stick a couple of extra bits of 0.75 wood on the left side of the stand?

i heard that it can both damage the seam but also affect the stand aswell as the tank. with that amount of water, you might not want to take the risk

I use a stiff insulation foam- with my 240 it barely leaves in imprint but makes it damn close to level

Easier said than done. It took a struggling 8 guys just to lift it 3 feet! The tank empty weights 945lbs. As it sits on the stand it is almost impossible to move. There is no way to get your fingers under the tank and lift it up and put something underneath it because of height and leverage. Even with 8 guys. The only way of leveling now is to drain the tank and get a hydraulic jack and lifting the one end and put some shims under the legs. Also, to do it right you have to shim all the legs. If you just shim the end legs then the other legs, at least the ones up to the middle of the tank, would be off of the ground. This would cause major uneven stress on the stand and possible dissaster. Also, the shims have to be tappered to the slope of the garage. See what I mean by pita!:swear: And once all the shimming is done my plumbing will be off. Oh well, you live and learn.
