I have more pictures at home, when I get some time I'll post a few pics of the bioball tower. There is a strip of 1" X 10" acrylic 1/2" thick cemented on both sides and it rest on the rim of the tank. Kind of hard to explain, pictures would be easier to show. If you look towards the bottom of the blue foam, you can see one of the support strips resting on the rim

Far from a cheap project, but this needs to filter 400 gallons of water. If you cutout the filter media (bioballs, sponges,matala). Looking at about $600, I probably would of spent more on cannisters if I went that route. The biggest cost was the two new pumps

Here is how the tower is suspended. There is a rail on each side. It just rest on the rim of tank. There is also a rail on the far side, it rest on the first glass baffle. The rails also make nice handles to pull the whole thing out. There is smaller blocks on the inside, these hold the eggrate in place
