Aqua clear filters a notorious for being noisy. Right from the factory some will make noise while others won’t. Check the impeller and lid.

I completely disagree with this. Aquaclears are hands down the best HOB filters you can buy. If it is making noise, there is something you can adjust to make the noise go away.

I didn’t saying anything about them being bad filters.They are great filters and I do agree that they are the best hob on the market, but they are noisy.
