75g stocking list, compatible?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i would ditch the mbuna- also ps. acei do good in flocks.. youd need more than 1-they tend to swim together (so i would get rid of your one).. good pick on the haps, (like the sulphur heads/lithobates!) but i would ditch the red empress.. my girl is about 5 inches long and she wouldnt do well in a 75 gallon (it would be too small for her).

and no. i dont believe you can over filter lol.. i use lots of filtration on my african tanks-since they are overstocked by comparison to others.

just saw your refined list-it looks good! cant wait to see the little guys!

Thanks. I did get rid of the acei already btw, it started causing problems. I am thinking about adding another AC110 to the tank.

My only worry about adding another AC110 is that the side I would have to put it on (because the other one is on the other side) would place it directly over the outlet where my powerstrip is plugged in.

If you are using xp3, I am guessing it runs around 330-350 gph? That would be sufficient enough although as they have already said, overfiltering is not bad at all. I use an xp1 on my 29 gal and its been doing the job pretty good by itself for a few months now. If you think there is electric danger, I advise you not to risk it. I do not think there is a lot of insurance coverages that cover aquarium damage to the house. If you can somehow maneuever or solve your problem, add the filter.

I am actually running an xp3 and an Aquaclear 110, I am considering adding an additional AC 110 though. If I am careful It shouldnt be a big deal. The powerstip I have has some sort of fire protection in it (I dont remember what the deal with it was, it came from walmart and it said something about fire protection built into the plug and it was safe for aquariums.) Or I could just run a small extension cord to a different outlet.

I was reading up some more on all the fish I will be stocking and realized that the Red Empress and the Taiwan are herbivores. I have been feeding my current fish NLS, will this cause malawi bloat in the empress and taiwan?
