I have a JD, Geophagus Brasil and a Blood Parrot. Would you all say this is the right amount of fish? Or could I possibly have one more? If so, what fish would you all recommend?

Thanks!

Which of these are the least aggressive? The parrot is a giant baby and the geo just minds its own business. The dempsey is the only one that even remotely ever shows aggression and if he does it's just a quick dart or flaring when near his stump. With that said, I'd hate to ruin the peace by introducing a monster, but I do understand the cichlid breed.

.. to be honest firemouths can be pretty nasty same for convicts, rams and acara's arent really aggressive they'll defend themselves when they have to.. but the JD is going to be the alpha of oyur tank i can already tell... your blood parrot as it gets older will probally be able to be pushed around by your jd.. as i said firemouths and convicts can be pretty nasty..

I really like both the acara and Ram. The Ram is so colorful which is something I am looking for in a fish at this point. Is it true to say they (Ram) only grow a few inches? If so that could work out well as I doubt he'd interfere much in the dominance tree.

I am interested for sure now. I just always hate introducing a new fish. Worry of disease, over aggression etc. I have some thinking to do! I definitely appreciate your help.

i do agree on the Firemouth but you have to the them the hot head of the south. My firemouth was the only one to push around a 7 inch pike not even my flowerhorn would!! i did have a brailiensis and it was very very mean, i do think the JD will me the boss you have not much to worry about with the parrot like the others said main reason it can't even close its mouth just bumps.

i would stay way from rams they are very sensitive fish to water conditions and weak, but very beautiful. i would do a trio of firemouths. But thats just me!! just be over filtered.
