75G Tank - Fish Suggestion

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
jd and brasiliensis in the same tank, thats gonna be iffy.... jd,s and a 4 ft. tank wont leave room for much else especially a fish that looks similar... imo,,,pick either jd or brasiliensis ,, keep the bp and find a catfish you like ... just a thought..good luck..LEE:popcorn:

Well, the jd, brasil and bp are all happy and have been for quite some time so I'm not too concerned about them. What kind of catfish?

Could I.wait it out and see how things go? If it came down to needing to donate it I'm not above doing so as I had to get rid of a bellybcrawler for being excessive.

Raphael cat or synodontis should work... there are plenty of others too... keep an eye on the dempsey w/ other cichlids in a 75 ...i have a dempsey in a 45long(4ft. ) no other cichlid is safe...

Well the tank design promotes good hiding spots and each fish seems to have their 'spot' so to speak. Last year when I.got the fish I was under the impression that it was going to be a battle royale every minute in the tank due to the cichlid nature. But I must say I've either gotten lucky or there's just the right amount of spots for them to all be comfy that they don't have much reason to go rustling feathers. Perhaps I'm being naive in the choice of the 3 but I do hope the calm temperment continues. Ill be looking at some cats :)
