Recently sold off all my angels and such from my 75gal aquarium. It now only has a single pleco in it...

Not sure what I am going to get next. I want something that grows steadily but will be comfortable in the tank for a year - year & a half.
I've been considering a single red oscar, I miss my old oscar.
Also considering a Jardini arowana.

Suggestions????

I really like jaguar cichlids but idk those might get too big for a 75 in that time span

I like jags, but I like them in a community. Would prefer a single oscar.
Any other suggestions? Any catfish that grow rapidly but would be OK in this tank for a year-year&half?

Anymore suggestions?

can't go wrong with a knifefish in there with the oscar.... albino clown knife is a pretty cool looking fish!

Went to Aquarium Adventure the other day to see what they had... I saw they had a few dozen baby puffers in one tank. There were Figure Eight, Spotted and I think Green puffers in it. Sorta considering them now too.
I know a little bit about puffers but I don't know how many I could fit in my 75gal, anyone know?

Other than that I am watching classifieds for a Jardini while I look at my options..

id get some powerheads and do a group of clown loaches like 6 or 10 or keep a smaller group like 4 and put in a green terror or fire mouth in with them maybe even some pollys

ummm... puffers except for pea puffers (i think) will all need brackish setups eventually if your looking to explore on the salty side of things thats fine but i don't think they very friendly to tank mates and you would be limited to one maybe two. they have a particular diet cuz their beaks will overgrow if not feed hard shells like snails and crustaceans so i would advise against them if your not looking forward to their maintenance

I second the Jag. I currently have a pair of spawning Jags in a 55. The male is about 12 inches and the female 8 or 9 inches. They have lived there for about two years now, so I would think a single Jag (or possibly even two) would be perfectly comfortable in a 75.
