Excuse me but my fish do not look like that Diaz and you know it for a fact !!!! again trying to pull the heart strings of the unsuspecting ..Your talking to a guy that went to work at a home town butcher shop at 13 years old had to learn to shoot gut skin and prepare the meats be it Beef pig goat chicken you name it ..I eat what i Butcher INCLUDING FISH now if you don't like that to bad for you ..I do it and i think anybody who eats meat should have to do it it does not come from the pretty package like presented at a super market if you can't do it you shouldnt be able to eat meat simple as that ,,,Now like i said i thought we were talking about filtration and as usual there seems to be some underlying bologna!!! As I said before your fish are gorgeous and you have plenty to be proud of with your setup. Your fish are amazing...no one is taking that from you.
But when you say things about a BB Grouper like, "enjoy the fish for a few decades" or that all the fish that I referenced would be fine in a 600G tank...that's a ridiculous comment to make.
The video I posted is a BB Grouper that this excuse for a person "enjoyed" for a few years in what looks to be a 210G. That grouper is still nowhere near fully grown...even in a 600G at that size, that's just messed up.
The video shows the results of what you are condoning which, whether you realized at the time or not, is what it is...animal cruelty.
Butchering an animal to eat it is one thing, but you have to be a special kind of person to keep fish under those conditions. You obviously don't do that, so why would you encourage others to?

I think he is frantically working on it so that it puts everyone's to shame. I would not be surprised if by the time he posts a pic of this new sump that it's actually pretty awesome.

I wouldn't do it, due to sanitation issues. But if you would, or do, go for it. Your fish, and there's nothing I can or will or would do about it. I do, however, hate people encouraging unhealthy fish keeping styles and techniques. It seems, we are at least on the same page as that from looking at your tank, which is one that is properly sustaining the fish it houses.

That's the reply i was lookin for Jesse that's all i am lookin for people do and act different ways that does not mean they are wrong it's just there opinion and they or i am the only one that has to live with my actions for sure

Are you saying that a dog is somehow above other animals because it has fur and licks your face? In the case of the grouper I'd say it would become every bit as much a pet as a dog, I'm sure someone with a tank like yours doesn't need telling that big fish have big personalities. I have no problem killing and eating animals, but do make the distinction between pets and potential food, regardless of whether they have fur, feathers or scales.
Regardless, killing and eating a grouper when it outgrows yous tank does not, to me at least, quantify "keeping" that fish. As I said, by that logic you could keep a pacu, or bbg, in a 30g tank.

The problem is D-az still can't post a picture of my big fish clammed in small tank, after he claimed that I'm king of clamming big fish in small tank. I call you out, D-az! Post a picture of any of my fish in a tank that look like the one with the grouper!
