I can't get my tank to go under 79degrees. Is that ok for a gt and a rt?
If not is there any way I can lower the temp? The heater is turned down as low as it'll go.

They should be fine as long as it doesn't get much higher than 79

All of our tanks are normally at 80 to 82 during the summer without a problem.

My tank is kept at a cozy 84-86 degrees year round so your fine and if you want you can crank it up a little.

Careful with turnimg your heater all the way down. Winter is coming the air temp outside the tank will drop resulting in a drop of your water temp. Set your heater at 76 degrees or so.
