The tanks heaters are set at 26 but the tank has been up around 28 degrees C in the hotter weather. It only climbs a couple of degrees by the end of a hot day so I am not worried. With plenty of water circulation the fish have been fine at these temps.

Where do you have your heaters?
What the canisters you are using? Are they Pond Canisters, if so, do you have your pumps for the three of them inside the tank or outside?

Thanks again

Just found you have Aquapro CFD 2600 filters. Can you let me know about what size heaters, how many and where you have placed/hidden them?
Thanks
Chad
Chad, the heaters are internal. I have them inside pvc tubes that are zip tied to the intake tubes. I have 2 x 300w and 1 x 200w in there though I only have the 2 x 300w plugged in at the moment. The heavy ply sides really work well to retain the heat.

This pic shows a couple of the heaters in there drilled pvc holders.

Thanks for your help GreenTerra.

How did you work out strength versus weight to know that the 32mm ply would be enough to handle the pressure of 3 tonnes of water?
