7ft by 2ft by 2ft fish tank

I don't think dats will go with the rest because I think they are brackish water fish. But as long as the peacock bass are a smaller species like orinos i don't see why not, although arowanas get up to 30+ inches.

For your reference, only 2 of the 5 sub-species of datnioides are brackish water fish, namely D. polota (a.k.a. silver, american, AT, ) and D. campbelli (aka NGT -New guinea tiger). Even those two - and although that is arguable - apparently should only be in BW when mature.

The commonly seen D. microlepis (Indo tiger) as well as the D. pulcher (aka ST -Siamese Tiger,Widebar) and the D. undecimradiatus (NTT - North Thailand Tiger, Thinbar) are pure FH fish.

Stocking wise you have many options all depending on what you like. Good luck with the tank.

lol i am not going to put too many stock in my 7ft fishtank. i am not rush so i am doing step by step

Motor's can get over 24 inch in disc so they will not be ok for life... marble motors would be if you got males only as they are smaller but would still be confined... tigs also get over 24 if taken care of correctly so this tank would not work... and RTC get even bigger... if you want those fish I would get a better foot print... like 6 to 8 ft long by at least 30 wide and 24 or more tall for the motors and tig... the RTC is going to need a pond.. goodluck
