For your reference, only 2 of the 5 sub-species of datnioides are brackish water fish, namely D. polota (a.k.a. silver, american, AT, ) and D. campbelli (aka NGT -New guinea tiger). Even those two - and although that is arguable - apparently should only be in BW when mature.
The commonly seen D. microlepis (Indo tiger) as well as the D. pulcher (aka ST -Siamese Tiger,Widebar) and the D. undecimradiatus (NTT - North Thailand Tiger, Thinbar) are pure FH fish.
