Hi guys,

I've got a spare 7G (pretty small I know), which I'm hoping to use to hold fry if/when my cichilds grow and breed, but until then, I was wondering if there was anything interesting I could breed in there? If not breed, what can I keep in it?

Thanks

Cool! What size of shells do you think I should put in for them? I've got some real huge ones which I'm guessing won't be much use...

Any bigger snail shells will work. I actually got my shells from AC Moore, the craft store. I got about a dozen shells for $6, so their pretty cheap too. The ocellatus are pretty small fish, males only about an inch and females are smaller. They are fun fish to own, and you may even get fry out of them. Good luck.

actually, males get 2 inches and females get around an inch and a half, and imo a 7 gallon is too small, heres a good link for info on them http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/l_ocellatus.php

I'd try some African dwarf frogs, they are relatively easy to breed and not high maintenance
