Those lights really scare me, the way they're held on there. Do you have any worries about them getting wet or breaking off and falling in?

Getting wet I am a little concerned about, but they are only $40 lights so if they get wet and break oh well. At that point I would just switch to the $100 each super bright LED strips I have in the center of the pond.

Falling in I am not really worried about, the screws they are tied to are not going to come out, and even if somehow 1 of the wires holding a light came loose the light would remain in place, might dip a bit on one corner but not enough to fall in. The wires I used are coated wires ment for electrical use, so they will not rust and break.

Had a little set back, filled it up high enough to turn on the filters, started the filters and water that smelled like rotten eggs came out. Bacteria must have started to grow and then died when I shut off the bead filter for a couple weeks to finish things up, should have backwashed it first. So now the pond is just about done draining, going to fill it up quickly with hose water to rinse out the system, and then drain it and refill it tomorrow with water from my other pond again.

Looking good. Cant wait to see the rays in it and see how they like it..
great job...

Moved the 4 rays that where in the old pond into the new one a few hours ago, everyone seems happy and active. These 4 will be the only ones in here for a while, probably start moving the others in a week or two. Got to build a new pond liner pond to hold the motoro male until I find a new home for him, I don't trust him with the female leos and henleis.
