another great build.
if you don't mind me asking whats the dollar per gallon you are building these at. just the tank finished with glass.

Never really thought about it. Here is a rough estimate on all the costs for this build:

Wood: $400
Screws: $100
Fiberglass: $50
Bondo: $50
MaxACR Epoxy Resin: $600
Pond Armor Epoxy Resin: $600
Dow 795 Silicone: $300
Acrylic: $800

Total: $2900
Cost Per Gallon: $2.07

Don't know if that would be considered good or bad. I could probably cut the resins in half, but I am paranoid about leaks so I do alot of layers. Also I got the acrylic cheap on ebay, think normally the windows on there would run me closer to $1200.

if you didn't have the window cut outs couldn't you just lay a liner in it instead of all the epoxy?

Yes I could, and if doing a pond liner I could also use about a third of the wood and frame it instead of stacking the wood because with a liner a bit of flexing isn't a big deal.

i guess if you want windows the extra wood and epoxy is a must, i wonder if you could some how use a liner with the windows hmmm ehh epoxy works just fine haha

man i like what you are doing started building a tank my self just a little smaller i am going 500 for now my fish will soon out grow there present tank

$2.07 per gallon is outstanding! I bought my 450 gallon acrylic tank for $1000 and that was a great deal at $2.22 per gallon!

Yes 1/2" plywood and 3/4" acrylic.
