7'x12' Plywood Build For My Rays

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I am getting there. With a 7 month old, a garage to fix with surface mold, a full time job and other things going on I am moving as fast as I can. I will have an update soon. But I am working on the tank.

As for the Sanitred, yes i have seen it. I have changed how I am waterproofing the tank. We shall see how this works out. Possible picture update Monday.

So the garage was just scrubbed down from ceiling to the floor. No more surface mold. Was painted with a coat of Kilz and then painted with a new coat of white paint. I am beat but it needed to be done. The garage is also finally straightened out and organized except for fish items in the tank itself.

Cleaning that up this week and throwing in the OSB. That's right I am using a Firestone pond liner. Since the tank will be moving with us in a couple years I am not coating it with an epoxy only to have it crack and need repairs when moving it. Will coat it when it gets to its next destination. Another update once the plywood is in.:D

Cool. Ill be looking forward to your process on sealing the window ect to this

I thought about a liner for my tank when I build it. I'm just iffy on liners cause people here really haven't used them with 4x8 foot acrylic windows

Glad the mold is gone. Congrats

I think you are about the only one still following lol. Trust me I have been dying to finish this and get some fish in there.

Wow I just looked at the price of Firestone liners. Not bad especially considering that I'm contemplating using sanitred products forums build. Definatly looking forward to window installation!
Good job again !

The Firestone liners are definitely budget friendly. Think I am going to try my hand at a stainless steel window frame. Hopefully this works out.

I'm still here. More looking and watching vs commenting
