Or ask the question differently. Or maybe call your little 7x2 a grow out tank in the thread. Some of us care more about fish more than we do people. So the well being of the fish were being looked after. Not your feelings.

You know what I never understood ... how we hobbyists came up with these bs numbers... you're taking a fish out of it's enormous natural environment and determining that it would be content with x length and y width. If you really "cared" about the fish you wouldn't be in this selfish hobby. OP's tank is whatever it is, cut it out... his fish his tank his thread.

this is gonna sound terrible to some but .... i have thought .. i will always be able to have my fish stuffed if they out grow my tank lol good luck and post some pics
