ok so as u can tell i do NOT know what these fish are worth for i do not own any but i was at my LFS today and they had about four 4-6" silvers and three or four 8-10" what they called blue aros they wanted 80 for the smaller and 400 for the larger is this crazy or are these fish really that expensive everywhere

granted this is the ONLY place i have ever seen then in my area and therefore this LFS has the whole market and can tell me that thats a deal but i want to know what others are paying for them

I believe some people call black arowanas "blue" aros. $80 is a GREAT deal for one, even if it is young. I bought my juvie black aro for $200, and I thought that was a steal.

The silver was 80:screwy:. 400 is alot for a blue/black aro but they are getting harder to find. Where at in OH?

columbus they are at a stare called aquarium adventure

they are a chain but they are the best Only fish store I have been in

Aquarium Adventure is a bit pricy. Last time I was in there though, the silvers were $70, and the black/blue was $320. Either they raised the prices, or I didn't read it right.
They had jars also, at $70.

they only had the small silvers and the big blues but i think the deal was they wanted you to buy a fish club membership b/c that way it would have taken 25% off either fish and then they would have been 60 and 300 not 80 and 400 and the mebership is only 32$ for a lifetime and the 25% i think is good ALL the time

AND i didn't see any jars

oh i love the hell out of the fish club i got a crap load of media for my FX5 today and I could NOT find a better price on the internet with the fish club and my G/F is going to use it all the time once we get her community tank up and running
