8"-9" Spotted Gar with 12"-13" Clown Knife

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
a spotted gar would probably leave everything alone, and is likely to be bullied by your other fish, an alligator gar(which i suspect some of the members are talking about) is a totally different story altogether. however your tank is too stocked with boisterous fish to add a spotted/florida gar IMO.

okay now im really confused when i asked if i could keep a TSN in with 2 severums a royal plec a BGK and a Gold Clown knife i was told that i was already overstocked and when i showed pictures of my tank people told me it was overstocked now look a this guy

and explain to me how this is FAIR to any of the fish in their you would nee a SUPERSIZED monster fish POND to keep all these fish

I think it's got nothing to do with the fish, they might just wanted to give you a hard time,......... jk :D I'm gonna be thinning out my tank soon. Look out for some sales on buy/sell forum. :naughty:

I have the gar in now,........... everything's at peace. The little dats ( yes I have 4) 3" dats and everyone leaves them alone except CK tries to eat them sometimes) were checking him out for a while. They even bumped or gently pushed the gar with their mouths. It's eating already, it leaves everyone alone like you guys stated. And so far no one pays attention to him. It'll go up top for air and the aros leave him alone, the ck ignores him but then it ignores everyone except the dats when they get too close.

Yea I know, again, I plan on thinning out my tank a bit. I couldn't make up my mind on a couple of types so I went with everything from cats to ck to aros to bichirs and dats and now a gar. having a variety looks dope but I'm also gonna get another big tank soon so either will thin out or seperate them.

haha i made that same mistake just dec last yr. had my 120 crammed w all assortments of oddballs. haha. i enjoy the tank much better now.
