Now I am working on getting him to eat. I have been trying night crawlers (what he was eating) and frozen market shrimp.
 
Congrats bro! Just saw this thread now and your new jar truly is a MONSTER! I like the definition in the spots on the scales on the front (i.e. closer to the head) part of its body.Are you considering any tankmates or will he stay by himself?

I'm gonna have to pump mine up a little so that he can catch up to your beast! :D

I got REALLY lucky finding this jar. I can't wait to see what his growth is from here on out.

I tried throwing in a smaller oscar with him and after 2 hours, I had to pull him out. The jar already had him stressed to where he was laying on his side in the sand. So, I think it will just be him...maybe some type of cat. But, he is cool just by himself in the tank.

Yeah, I am spending a lot more time in my den now. It's very relaxing to sit back and just watch him. A lot different from the other tank, with tons of smaller fish.
