ok im gonna go ahead and just ask and probably get burned up by comments but heres the thing that i was thinking im going to make the tank a fully planted tank which helps with keepying the water good its going to be over filtered i currently have a 55 g rated filter and am planning on buying the dual biowheel 400 gph filter along with it so what does every1 else think?

well the tank is already established with angels this 1st im gonna convert it into the full planted tank and 1 to 2 inches im buying babies after i get the 400 gph filter established week or so probably once a week

plus im taking out the angels it will only have my pleco in it when they come in

Here it goes then. Way too small, you might get away with 5 at a push on there own with an over filtered heaven with huge water changes. Personally, get a larger and tank and do it.

u thing a 40 breeder would be better or just plain old bigger

I think as long as you didn't have too much clutter it would be fine for a while. I think it will become quite obvious when they are getting too big for the tank, so you'll want to have a larger tank waiting for them by then, you'll have lots of time to search for a well priced tank in the mean time, they are only babies after all right?

plain old bigger, you need more water volume unless you want to do huge water changes all the time

well i was thinkin that since its going to b a fully well planted tank 1st kuz i want to get the plants so ill get the discus a month after i get my plants in and filter the water quality shouldnt be much of a problem as long as i dont over feed them etc :naughty:

any1 else wanna give their opinion with this especially some 1 with plant experience i no they help water condition but would it be substantial
