8 Foot long tank- NJ/NY Area- Can pick up

Hi All- I am looking for an 8 foot long tank. Would like the foot print to be 8ft x 2ft at minimum.

Will consider tanks that need to be resealed. Accessories such as stand, lights, filter, etc are nice to have, but I can do without for now and purchase those separately.

I can pay cash, and I can pick up and transport this as I have a large truck.

I live in Staten Island- will travel to other parts of NY or into NJ to purchase it.

Don't really want any fish included - just the tank.

If anyone has anything for sale or knows of something please let me know.

i would go for it if i were you just buff it out real nice and make a crazy nice stand and top and your done plus for the price you cant go wrong he is a good guy to deal with penns i believe he is near Atlantic city or something like that
 
I have never had an acrylic tank- aside from the tiny 6 gallon that houses one of my betas...I wouldn't know where to begin w buffing it out. I need to read up more about it.

Might be a stupid question but I'll go ahead and ask it anyway- is it an issue if the tank doesn't have braces on it for support? Should it have some sort of external frame or skeleton?
 
Acrylic tanks don't have plastic braces around them the way glass tanks do. Usually the top is one whole acrylic sheet with access holes cut out and this is plenty of bracing.

I recently got my first acrylic, also an 8' 300 gal, and haveta say if you're after a big tank acrylic is much less likely to give you back surgery the way my 180 gallon glass tank did :D
 
i have a 210 for sale its only 6 feet just figuured i would let ya no in case
