Nice fish , but you should've had a different method of measuring him.........

It was out of the tank for all of 5 seconds.. thanks, for the concern though. I had the garbage bag on the table and camera and ruler ready. Set the fish for one pic and sent him back on his way.

Freaking awesome EBJD that is something I don't get to see every day!

Thanks everyone glad you like him. He has slowed down quite a bit in growth my other 2 are catching up fast.

Because they are usually inbred cause some people are too cheap to go out and get a non-related specimen during the breeding process. And some just seem to look like this.Either way it looks pretty nice.
What do you meen by this?.. the fact that many hobbyists are lazy to the point where they don't want to try and find fresh unrelated blood for their breeding stock should be frowned upon.. its puzzleing to me how someone can breed towards a certain trait and as long as they get that they don't care what deformities the fish has.. EBJD's are very inbred to the point where almost all fry are deformed.. to me the color isn't worth compromising all the other aspects of the fish.. look at it this way.. if a dog breeder wanted to breed a solid red dog, and bred the same dogs over and over again and finally got what he was looking for except that everyone of the red puppy had misaligned jaws and 1 leg from the elbow down was "curled", Would that be acceptable? I personally think not.. and would be uphauled by the breeder trying to sell such a puppy..

To each his own I guess..
