I Purchased this guy from rapps as a Red Istlanum last december. He is close to if not 8'' now and lives with a convict who he constantly tries to kill, although he was sold to me as the red variant, he has no red in him other than some slight reds in his fin speckles. I'm sure the fact that my sand and background are both Black so they probably keep him from lightning up his colors. I am also in search of a female if anybody has any for sale.
imo black sub really kills istlanums colors red or green. I finally found a very nice female for my male but she came with a male lol. Talk about a hard time finding a nice female... I went for a long ride hunting one down. I hear that gage might have some females around 3-4" range... I'll post pics of my male and new pair next weekend after I get home. I love istlanums, they're GREAT!!!!! LOL
