step 0: realise how much fun it could be to have a photo shoot while moving large fish around

step 1: tell(more like obsess at a neurotic level to) gf how u want the entire process to be recorded in full detail.

step 2: try fishing the aro out with a net that's too big give proper manuverability under the top tank. (also have to try avoiding the gatf that seems determined to volunteer itself for a trip to the gar tank)

step 3: panic as the arowana leaps out of the water and tries to headbutt you

step 4: pose for pictures with the aro

step 5: let the aro have some time in the lime-light

step 6: compare size of aro to your hand

step 7: realise that the aro is a FISH and cannot live out of water for as long as you'd like

step 8: finally come to your senses and do something about it

wow what a sick afro! if mine went on the floor it would have carpet fuss in him.
what size is he?

lol the gar in last pic was saying... "hmm FOOD" lol. nice afro.

hahaha thanks guys

oscar: the gar(s) were definately hoping for food as i have been starving them for about 2 weeks (although they usually beg regardless of when their last meal was). they finally got their dinner though, but no pics of that...

canuck: i know the feeling! i never want to put my fish back into their tanks when i have to move them around! except for a 14" armatus; that one i couldn't wait to just dump back into the tank.

phil: that's something you HAVE to document!
