I thought you already had the afro in the gar tank? Or was that another tank full of gars lol.

i moved it to another tank as the gars were constantly stealing it's food. but tmr they're gna be cutting off my electricity for a couple of hours for some bs, and i am not confident the 165 gal can support a huge bioload (aka the african arowana) after the electricity is restored.

Nice aro. Next time, if there's a next time, make sure step # 2 is drain at least half the tank water, then it will save you several unnecessary steps

good work xander. moved my smaller 13-14" one about 6 feet and that was hard enough work! my bigger one would take serious effort. by the way if you wanna pile the weight on i've found the larger sinking cichlid gold pellets to be perfect growth food for them.
