Is this too much for 8" Silver Aro? I'm really not sure if I want to spend this much considering I'm not sure how compatible it will be with my trio of 7inch Peacock Bass. What do you guys think?

I think $80 is way too much, especially because you're in SoCal. I'm in SoCal too and I see Silver Aros (without drop eye) around that size for about $25-$35.
I would shop around. You're bound to find a much better deal if you keep looking a little more.

My LFS charges about $60 for a small 5" silver, and around $80 for something around 7"

They had an abundance once and were sitting on about 5 for a few months. So I finally got my 7" silver for $50 =p
