80 gallon FW tank

I was thinking of putting 3 bala sharks, 1 rainbow shark, and maybe some tiger barbs. Would this work? I am kind of new on this whole fish thing.
Any help would be appreciated.

The balas would work for a while, but will outgrow it. How about something like loaches instead? (some, like clowns, will also outgrow the tank eventually) The rainbow and tiger barbs will be fine

the bala sharks will take an extremely long time to outgrow that tank, you're talking years. if you plan on keeping the tank for a few years then upgrading, the combination you mentioned would be perfect.

me to i have 3 in a 180 and they are 3 years old and around 8"

My advice is look around the site for a while and find some cool SA / CA cichlids that will work. Much more interesting than tiger barbs IMO.

CL's will not outgrow that tank....show me more than 2 people on this site with loaches greater than 12", they are sloooooooowwwwwwwwwww growers
