CL's will not outgrow that tank....show me more than 2 people on this site with loaches greater than 12", they are sloooooooowwwwwwwwwww growers
Just because it takes them a long time to outgrow it, it doesn't mean they don't.

I can see a nice Grrr (phrase coined by fellow loach enthusiasts in reference to aggression of some loaches) tank already.:D How about some skunk loaches (Yasuhikotakia morleti)? Put powerheads on one side to create a one-way current and use smooth rocks to create nooks and crannies. If you wish to add more dithers, try Puntius arulius and Puntius filamentosus. Good luck.

I want some bala sharks and i already have a rainbow sharks, so what else should I get?
With a 80g, I would forget the balas. They need a spacious tank and a 80g is not cutting it.

Exactly. A small group of clown loaches may work but unless the OP has plans to upgrade, then he has to resort to other alternatives.

Skunks were definitely one I had in mind when I mentioned loaches. I've never kept them, but I'd really like to eventually, and from what I hear, the temperment of the rainbows and barbs is pretty similar to that of the skunks (not overly aggressive, but very active and will harass more timid/slower fish)

The skunks are actually one of the nastiest loaches and in the same level with the orange finned loaches (Y. modesta) and tiger loaches (Syncrossus sp.). Rainbow sharks can handle them though and so will the tiger barbs. It's the slow moving ones that usually cannot hence I suggested the arulius and filament barbs as other alternatives due to their size and nature.

Yea i just found out I can't get the 80 gallon. It was whole package with stand, filter, everything for 200 but the guy sold it right before I got there. I'm just going to wait for another good deal. Thanks anyway
