peacock bass or silver arowana? lol. can't imagine anyong thinking either is ugly.. but to each their own.

maybe a south american theme with a bunch of mediums sized cichlids?

yeah thats what i was thinking, i already have a RD/Midas and a jag. thanks for the help:D

Arowana isn't really the most appealing fish to people that are not into REALLY into fish.

Think about it, big eyes, long snakey body, huge scales...and when you compare to lets say an Electric blue...the color is important here I guess.

His dad did want colorful fish if im not mistaken?

umbee? black arowana or jardini?
Royal or a regular clown knife. <---if he sees any of these in person i think he would change his tune on ugliness.
payara.
or rays

big ca/sa cichlids and a few large cats! 1 of each of every ca/sa cichlid that gets over 10 inches would be awsome!

agreed:thumbsup:

Tons of discus with 1,000,000 tetras! and tons of clown loaches! also a whole bunch of angels! :) with giant red tail gourami or other giant gourami's!

defiantly a great idea for a future tank for me!

Rays, if he still thinks they are ugly, he needs new glasses

He should probably give that 800 gallon tank to somebody who appreciates fish, then. Why in the world would someone who isn't into the cool fish set up an 800 gallon tank?! That would be like me building a modernized and well-equipped ten car garage and filling it with...Ford Pintos and Dodge trucks. Waste of space. Makes me sad and a little angry to hear about it, actually. Here I am doing everything in my power to maintain an interesting collection on pennies and scraps and there's a baller out there who wants an 800 gallon tank full of worthless fish. Maybe you should steer him toward plastic fish and remote-controlled submarines instead.
