Got my glass quote today from the only supplier able to supply a piece that large. $921 for 36sq ft of 3/4"(19mm) glass. It will weigh 350lbs plus the 150lb crate it's in. I'm going to have to take out windows and slide it in to get it in my basement, going through the house is *possible* but I think the window will be easier. I have a couple transmission jacks I can put up in the basement to catch the glass as it comes in, so that should make it easier.
Doubling up in hte bottom and back I can do but I'm not sure about doubling up in the front, as it's going in the wall, I don't want the front to be that thick if I can avoid it. I'll have to see what it looks like when I start getting pieces together.
