The color temps aren't standard, all 10k bulbs don't look the same, for example.

this is true. bulbs colors are all across the board. i have 10,000k bulbs from two brands and they look very different. and the GE 9235k bulbs seems like its on the wrong end of the color spectrum. there is no standard when it comes to bulb color

I usually look at the light spectrum graph but sometimes its still hard to tell what color it will be.
