I did all the planning today, and will begin construction tomorrow. Will try to post pics every evening that I do work. Goal is to have the tank running and stocked by the 12th
The tank leaks on the 2 sides in the overflow boxes, I will document the repairs here. I paid $200 for the tank and $115 in transportation. The pint of weld-on 40 was ~$35.

We picked up a fridge at the same time. That's my buddy tying it down.

Not pictured but he stand will have 3/4" ply on top and 1/2" foam. The corners are funny because it is going in between 2 posts. The front posts are 4x4s because I have one lying around.
The stand will be lagged into a brick wall. It's going on the second floor of a 150 year old house in Hoboken. Old construction uses much thicker joists, so the lag is not really necessary, the floor can easily support the weight without additional reinforcement. Lumber Used: 14: 2x4, 1: 2x8, 1:4x4

I am making the sump out of a hideous 135g oceanic tank. The far ends will hold 8" filter socks, the left chamber will hold a k1 moving bed, and the right will hold plants and small grow-out fish. Bags of ceramic rings and lava rock will occupy empty spaces. The thick checkered pattern represents eggcrate and the fine one guttergaurd glued to eggcrate
