I was in 10th grade American history class.

An announcement came on the intercom to turn on the classroom tv's to a certain channel. We watched the second plane hit and the building colapse. All classes were canceled for the day and we walked home after watching for a few hours.

A terrible day..

Corruption overflowed into the streets of America.

I was working construction on the outside of a building in Seattle doing some re-caulking of a bunch of windows.. I'll never forget the call from my boss telling me to get the hell off the building that planes were flying into buildings across the US..
Wasn't long after that i got the call back to active duty.. But i can't b*tch that's what i signed up for, to protect our country..

I was at work listening to the radio with a few coworkers. You could here a pin drop. It was a very sad moment I will never forget. Like said, our world will never be the same. Our kids will grow up with the fear of terrorism. Those who died that day will be remembered forever. God bless.

I had a job interview across the street.....I over slept.

i was in the third grade, cant remember what class i was in but i remember all the teachers were called out into the hall, a few mins later they came back in and told us what happened. we were then dismissed early because my school was the tallest building in town

I was right there.
At approx 8.13 a.m. the first plane flew ( screamed) down the avenue that my place is on.
For 2 weeks after the disaster no power below Canal St. ( my block) and no traffic at all ( one of the busiest streets in the world, leading into the Holland Tunnel). It was very 'post apocalyptic' and disturbing.
A couple of friends died there that day, trapped in the 'Windows on the World'
:(
Witnessing the many dozens of jumpers was one of the saddest days of my life, unless you actually saw it you have no idea.

5th grade in English class. She told us what happened while she was crying the whole time. I'm not going to lie, very few even knew what the World Trade center even was nor what city or state it was even in. We were all sort of like "what, a plane hit some towers".

We had a meeting in the cafeteria with all of the grades (5-8)and was told what happened in more detail. I also remember the principal going over nuclear bomb drills, basically get under a desk. After saying this we were all freaked out, I remember thinking nuclear bombs were going to be falling all over the U.S. It was crazy.

When we got home and saw what these "towers" were and what size of "plane" were then it hit us, this wasn't no small accident this was some major stuff happening. I remember WWF(now WWE) had the wrestlers talk about this, they didn't fight or anything just sat down and talked about how they felt.

I was still living in the Philippines at that time the World Trade Center got struck. It was more or less 11pm something when my girlfriend who is now my wife called me that something is happening in the US. I went out to the living room to watch the news live with my parents. The world has never been the same after that big incident. Even in the Philppines....

I remember getting ready for work when my mom came and got me and told me about the first plane hitting. I got upstair with her just in time to see the 2nd plane hit. Then as I was driving into work I heard about the other plane crashing into the pentagon on the radio. By the time I got to work everyone in the office was sitting around a TV watching the news unfold as people started jumping and the buildings started collapsing. We all sat there shell shocked and crying. I was sure at the time that it was going to result in WWIII or something.
My husband later joined the army and was injured in Iraq. So many people have died directly or indirectly from this. It breaks my heart to think of the horrific attrocities that people are capable of inflicting on others. I'll never forget that day, it changed my life forever.
