The day this nation and myself changed forever

20150911_083741.jpg

This is on my 14 year old shirt. I now only wear it once or twice a year to preserve it as long as possible

I remember being in panic mode on that day; for one my aunt was in New York for work related matters and secondly I wasnt sure if there were going to be more attacks carried out in other towns.

I was away at school in Europe at the time. My father worked for nyc transit in Manhattan and was worried for my family. Can't ever forget!

I was driving my mother to her doctor that day(heard it on the radio) and had to go to a job fair later. I was nervous too of further attacks.

I can't believe 14 years have passed already.

Oddly enough I did dream of 9/11 two days before it happened. In my dream a plane took off in Pittsburgh, PA and crashed right away. Then my dream changed to two explosions(the two towers).

With my dreams they are rarely exact on. Like I dreamed the last shuttle disaster 6 months before it happened. My dream was it crashed(upside down but there was heavy focus on the bottom(tiles).

I was working in Elizabeth NJ across the river. We went to the top of the building and watched, then we were evacuated. The Turnpike was empty when I got on and I was worried everyone knew something I didn't. I was expecting massive traffic but I saw no one that was a very eery feeling. When I got home I loaded all my rifles and shot guns, put on my BDUs loaded the truck with food and water and got the wife and kids ready to bug out. I don't know what I was expecting but I got ready.

Same here, while I wasnt exactly sure what was going on I knew that it had to be a terrorist attack.I made a detour on my rounds that day, stopped home, grabbed and loaded a pistol and was armed for the rest of the day.

I, along with all the other kids, was pulled out of elementary school that day. I had no idea what was happening or why the adults were crying.

I don't remember where I was or what I was doing when I was two but I watched the HBO documentary In Memoriam yesterday in U.S. History.
