I'll be the first to admit that I don't follow politics very much, if any. But would still like to pay my respects to the fallen and their families, and thank all the soldiers that live their life to protect us.

IMO today is not about politics, its about remembering those who lost their lives that day. although its not technically a day to remember our soldiers its hard not to think of them and thank them for their services because of that day 6 years ago

My thoughts are I have a paper due tonight at midnight which is 10 pages long and I am only on page two. I am wondering if I can fisnish it within the day.

Other than that, I think today is not the time to mourn but a time of recollection and to say thanks to whoever you pray to and just be happy.

What do I think? I think if you lost someone on this day in 2001 than I say sorry for your loss, it was a tragedy. It would be hard for me to loose someone this way. To most others this day means little other than it was a terrorist attack to mark down in the record books with mass deaths involved.

I think if you feel remorseful and want to do something special on your own on this day then it is a great deed. But I think too it is ok for 9-11 just to feel like september 11th to you and not get caught up in the rememberence of 6 years ago.

But I think the media covers it and t.v./internet plays alot more coverage on 9/11 and what happened than I care to see. At least they did last year. There is remembrence and there is dwelling.

Easy for you to say you weren't attacked. Why is there always someone out to derail a thread especially one so sensitive to americans. Just shows the Moorons in the world.

I am not a fan of the politics in this country, but I love this great country and would give my life for it. The first thing that comes to most americans minds are the WTC and the Pentagon, but lets not forget the passengers of Flight 93 that stood up to those Bastards.

Oh Yeah Einstein if you quit surfing the forum and posting derailing comments you may finish your paper.

N-E Cichlid, you got my attention and that's about it. Who told you I was insensitive? Who told you I wasn't an American? I may be an American only on paper but I can definitely relate to the human lives lost that day although I can't say that I can emphatize because I have not lost anyone on such a tragic event.

You might want to check yourself first before you run your mouth in a public forum.

I don't need to check anything Bro. The title asked our thoughts on 9/11 not whether or not you were going to finish your paper by midnight. you knew exactly what this thread was about and you decided to derail it with a dumb comment knowing how sensative the topic is.

Who ever said you weren't an American. 9/11 is not for just the people who lost a loved one. It's about an attack on our country as a whole and we as Americans need to stand together to defend our country. Next time it may be your family or a friend who dies.

If you have anything else to add, Please PM me as I do not want to contribute to your derailing.

I wanted to post regarding my paper and I did and there is nothing wrong with it. Like they say, its a free country. I knew what the thread is about and I contributed something relevant to the topic as well.

Good riddance.

To all who lost a loved one on 9/11, I apologize if in any way you got offended about the post regarding my paper.

How was this a derailing reply? this is about arkmann's feelings on 9/11 which, suprisingly enough, is what this thread is about. So Arkmann is not as worried about it as N-E-Cichlids, so what? this is a thread on thoughts not America's moral standing.
