9' long 4'high 5'deep ply tank has begun.....kinda!

cant do it, maybe a mac problem but im sure its a mike problem :cry:

i managed to get the pics into my album so go into my album and there is a couple of new pics, one of the front all tiled and the second, the 'hidden' door for the storage bit beneath the filter. decided against the grouting until i finish tiling once the glazing is done-which won't be too long now, as soon as the epoxy gets here and is finished i can measure up the final glass size, cant wait :D
 
had a thought today, thinking about installing a 22mm Hep20 pipe about six inches or so above the bottom of the tank, drilled through the side and going straight out the wall with a 22mm lever valve on, so when i wanna do the water changes i can just crank the valve, water goes straight onto the garden then turn it off and top up? can also remove the valve lever so no nasty mistakes can happen and drain the whole thing?? thoughts please, or a better idea.

Firstly, open up a second tinterweb page and go to MFK. You should now have 2 MFK internet pages open, this one and the one you just opened.

On the one you just opened, go to your Mike Huntley profile page, find 'Albums' and upload your pictures to an album on there as uploading to a profile album still works.








Once your pictures have uploaded to there, open the first picture you want on this thread, highlight the picture then click 'copy' the same way you would if you were highlighting and copying text to something else.

Now come back to this page, and in the reply box below for your next post if you click 'paste' (same as if you were copying over text) then your picture should magically appear in the box (you may need to 'go advanced' for it to work, not tried it in quick reply.)

You can then copy and paste as many pictures over from your album to your reply as you like using this method, it's been working for me anyway.

Sounds like a plan, i've had similar thoughts before but mine were along the lines have one pipe at the very bottom of the tank connected to a valve with a padlock on to avoid mistakes and use this one if it ever needs completely draining. And another pipe at about the 30% water change level (or what ever your water change percentage of choice is) again with a locked valve, but when it comes to water change time you can open it and not have to keep an eye on it when it drains as you know it'll stop at the level you want.
