Thanks for the kind words everyone. CubanB, the extensions started at about 5" or so, but didn't pass the caudal fin until recently.

I hear ya. I think I had 2, but the more promising one got picked off at 4". Out of the 7 I'm down to this guy, a 6" female, and a 3" runt.

have you got any good pics of your female? i have one around the 6" mark that i've posted here a few times. it's pretty much 50/50 on the sex of it though so a pic of your female would be a good comparison

sorry to post a pic in your thread but what do you think the sex of mine is? i think female but it has a lot of blue (that the flash washes out) so i'm not 100% sure

No problem, at this point I'm leaning towards female. Mainly due to lack of trailers, lack of full lateral line (not always pronounced, but you can normally see it at least faintly), and body shape. These are not sure fire traits though....I was unsure of my male until he hit 6"-7", so there is still hope yet! Keep us posted

I got him last February at 2", so my guess is a year and a half. I remember seeing pics of your guy a while back and was thinking the same thing, quite the resemblance!
