Neo, try buying guppies.. ( not the fancy ones ) buy a lot and just put them in the
tank along with some floating plants.. if youre lucky maybe theyll breed in there and provide a continous food source for the plats. You know how fast fish grow when fed with live fish...

he'd have to stick them in a 240g+ to get considerable results wouldn't he? those livebearer fry take 4-6 months just to hit 1 inch..

Wouldnt take that long. Give it a month and you have 1/2 inch guppies swimming around. David Weber does this in his ray pond and and George Fear does it in
his small tigrinus tank.

i grow all my own guppies in a 31quart rubbermaid.
i get alot of guppies.
but at least of 100 guppies and dont move any for a month or 2
