I have a quick question, i'm thinking about getting a 90 g. for a species tank housing possibly, 5-10 medium sized fish say 5-6" max. would 2 aquaclear 300's (70s) be enough filtration or would 1- 500 (110) work? - salty

We have one Fluval 404 on our 90 with carbon and regular bio-balls, the water tests fine every time and is crystal clear. Even when we had 6 Oscars in there.

I have 2 on my 90 gallon....a HYDOR PRIME 30 canister filter....and a TETRA TEC 300 (h.o.b.)
BUT....on my 92 gallon...I have 3 filters....You can't have too much filteration!

2 is better then one

for a large tank (not MFK large, just anything 3ft or longer), it is better to use 2 or more

Thanx for the help, I kinda figured it would be better with the 2 of em. I run 2 on my 65, I just wanted to see if i could've got away w/a 110 cuz they are on sale around here for 56.99, also the 70's are on sale for 36.99. thanx again. - salty
